Hair Loss Treatments
Hair loss treatment is a worldwide reality for a long time. We are proud that this opportunity is existing in Bulgaria for more than 25 years.
Until a little while ago the alopecia's problems were considered only by dermatology and plastic surgery specialists. The "Alopecia Diseases Center" used to solve these problems by medical and surgery methods.
In the last couple of years in Bulgaria have entered the most popular hair treatment techniques in which are used scalp prosthesis. That is the better opportunity of the marginal methods based on the surgery interventions and medical treatment. Now there are 4 hair problem centers and every one of these centers has its own particular specialities.
Deva Center's priorities are:
In the biological evolution of the Earth hair is an unalterable fact of the physiological existence of the mammals. And if it's been so necessary to have hair millions of years ago it's different for the nowadays Homo Sapiens. We know that we can survive without hair.We exert efforts to remove (even for good) our hair on specific places of the body- the men know how boring is the everyday shaving and the women try all the time to erase even the smallest traces of hair on their legs for example. But both men and women get stressed when they see a small quantity of falling hair. Our first reactions are to blame and change the cosmetics we are using at the time. In some temporary and simple problems it's working. But in cases of serious system or hair diseases a simple change of the cosmetics doesn't work!
In the absence of enough and true information on the essence of hair function and the accorded to it pathological conditions we use wrong ways to eliminate the problems. And this often makes problems bigger.
The main thing that we don't know and nobody tells us is that the hairloss is not just a dermatological problem. It's true that if we don't treat some skin diseases on time they get more severe and the hair can't exist normally. But the causes of the permanent hairloss are not rooted there. You can find them deeper, usually in genetic structures. That's the main problem in diagnosis and finding the cause even if there are specific analyses. A lot of our clients share: "You know what? They make me such analyses; they don't do this even to the astronauts -everything is all right with me! But … there is no hair!!!"
Before we introduce you to the basic methods of hairloss treatment,, we will take a look at the structure of our hair as a living part of our organism and we'll try to systemize the most common hair and scalp diseases.
Do we know what hair as a living constitution is? I'm sure that nobody is asking himself about this until the problem becomes a part of your life.

Hair is a special growth of the epidermis. It has two parts:
root
and shaft.
There are tree phases in the normal hair cycle: anagen (growing phase), katagen (transitional phase) and telogen (resting phase).
Loosing 50-70 hairs per day is normal. That is not too much because there usually are between 90 000 and 140 000 hairs on our scalp.
Up
to here it's obviously that each hair falls out at the end of its cycle.
If you go on loosing more and more hair and this process lasts for long
time, if you can notice that your hair is thining out and there is no new
hair on the empty spaces of the scalp there is no denying that you are going
bald, the problem is locked out and there is no way back. Scientists call
this typical baldness ANDROGENETIC ALOPECIA. It's genetically predetermined
and affects equally both men and women. There's no cure for it.

The other kind of baldness is the so called TELOGEN EFFLUVIUM: this premature
shedding of hair in the resting phase (telogen) can result from various
causes, such as difficult childbirth, shock, drug intake, cancer treatment,
fever, etc. Some women also experience sudden hair loss when they stop taking
birth-control pills or if they follow a crash diet too low in protein. The
hair loss reversed ones the condition is resolved.

ALOPECIA AREATA. There is a sudden loss of hair in round or irregular patches;
the scalp is not inflamed. This type of hair loss occurs in individuals
who have no obvious skin disorder or serious disease. It is often attributed
to stress. Alopecia Areata is confined to a few areas and is often reversed
in a few months, though recurrences may occur.

The last kind of baldness is the so called TRACTION OR TRAUMATIC ALOPECIA:
patchy or diffuse hair loss is sometimes due to repetitive traction on the
hair by pulling or twisting. This type of hair loss also occurs after excessive
application of chemicals, such as permanent wave solutions, or after excessive
use of hot combs. This condition is usually reversed once trauma has stopped.
All kinds of baldness can be observed in childhood but they have different flow. Usually the patients' condition gets better after the puberty.
As a matter of principle the baldness is not dermatological problem but some kinds of skin diseases can lead to hair loss. Here we've listed some of them:
We claim that Nobel Prize should be given to the man who invents an efficient treatment of the baldness.
Unfortunately in the beginning of the 21st century the science still can't do anything to help people that have hair problems.
Their desire to look good and to be self confident has originated many studies, analysis and elaborations more than 50 years ago. The practice has led to creating 3 main methods for hair loss treatment:
MEDICAL - it's based on patent medicines and herb lotions. It's desirable to consult a specialist first.
SURGICAL - so called 'hair transplantation' the final result of it is positive if the hair loss is properly under control.
COSMETICALLY - using a bunch of your own hairs as a pattern, we create new hair in the needed amount.
То се протезира върху скалпа по методика съобразена с вашия проблем. Процедурата е обратима и няма никакви странични ефекти.
All of these three methods are in use in the world hair loss treatment practice although almost all of the clients prefer the cosmetic method. We think that all of these methods give good results. The most important is to approach the problem individually and with high responsibility.
The individual consultation meeting is guarantee for a precise diagnosis and for choosing the right method for you!
Our mission is to give you
enough information,
competent consultation
and the right of personal choice!

The hair follicle is composed bulb and papilla (middle part). The bulb is a structure made of active growing cells, which produce the hair shaft. The melanin cells, which define the color of the hair, are located in the papilla. |
|
The hair shaft is the visible part of the hair. It's composed mainly by dead cells turned into keratin, connecting material and small amounts of water. |
|
The growing phase. Normally, at any time, 85% of our hair is growing. It keeps growing for a period lasting from 3 to 6 years. The average growth of healthy hair on the scalp is about 1 cm per month. |
|
The transitional phase. It lasts from 2 to 4 weeks. The normal hair growth stops. Usually about 1-2% of the hair on the scalp is going through this phas. |
|
The resting phase. The old hairs fall out. It lasts about 3 months. |
