Hair care
Clients very often ask me the question how to manage the problematic hair.
Before we say "how", we need to make clear what exactly "problematic hair" means. Here we're not talking about the hair we lose for any length of time and consequentially we become bald, but about the bad health of the visible part of the hair.
Each person has a different type of hair. The number of the scalp follicles, the colour of the hair and its structure are parameters, conditioned by the gene heredity.
Our hair needs care, nevermind how good it looks. The main and obligatory procedures are combing, washing, conditioning and cutting.
Combing is a procedure that mechanically removes the accumulated hard particles and the oil remnants while releasing the pores which makes possible the "breathing" and the correct metabolism of the hair. It's advisable to comb your hair at least twice a day, in the growth direction, using a brush with natural fur or an elastic synthetic comb to prevent skin or hair injuries.
The most discussed problem, concerning washing is the frequency. Observing the metabolism velocity of man's body I think that the more rarely the hair is washed the more healthy and beautiful it looks. It's not what you think (you wont smell badJ) because one week period for the thinner and oily hair and 10 days period for the thicker and dry hair is absolutely normal. It's advisable washing to be made using the proper shampoo for your hair type with temperate hot water.
For the conditioning we must choose masks and conditioners that fit our type of hair. It is best to consult your stylist about which product is the appropriate one for your hair, especially if there are problems. You should never forget, that each person has a different structure of the hair and because of this, needs a different approach. Thus what is good for a friend of yours is not always good for you also. I consider the natural herbal or fruit hair products the most trustworthy ones.
I want to emphasize the importance of the drying of the washed conditioned hair. It must be completed with a soft towel in soft touching movements. It is best to avoid the hair-drier.
The cutting is the last basic procedure which is absolutely indispensable. The frequency of doing it must not be less than once per month. It doesn't make your hair grow faster, but it keeps it in good health. People often ask me "What suits me best?" and I always answer the same: what suits us best is what we were born with". But, having in mind that our desire to look different is stronger than the proccupation of hair's health, we should at least leave it all in the hands of a professional hair-stylist. He would take into consideration the actual condition of your hair, the shape of your face, the colour of your skin and eyes. He would also have in mind the particular occasion (if there is such) you have. This is the best way to achieve the look you're yearning for.
It is also the easiest and cheapest way to keep your hair in good health, shiny and full of life, and to guarantee your self esteem.
The most popular problems are: dry and enlaced; oily and formless; colorless and without shine; thin and split ended. Very often this goes with problematic scalp skin.
Stress, hormonal misbalance, inflammation processes, poor food, dysfunctions of the excreting system, bad influences of atmosphere are the factors which represent an everyday menace for the hair. What has unlocked the problem in your case is a question that may be answered after a consultation and sharp diagnostics. I do not advise you to embark on any treatment before you get complete and correct information on your condition. If you do, you may do the wrong thing which could irreversibly damage your hair and skin.
